This work has a 4-fold approach

1. ESYT have youth workers placed in several local schools where they Interact with the students and are a positive presence in playgrounds and are a positive role model. These youth-workers engage with students by playing sports, young people discuss different concerns they may have, and connections are built that are then develop further outside of school hours as the young people engage in different youth Initiatives that ESYT have.

2. School’s can approach us for other forms of support as issues arise.

3. ESYT works to support young people and whanau with advocacy and School meetings

4. ESYT runs a number of study support sessions each week.
